The all new 2012 Series LIPO stick pack batteries from VAMPIRE RACING have now come into stock. There are two new stick versions this year, the first is an almighty 6800mah 70C version for those who crave power and punch, the second, introduced by popular demand is a 4400mah 50C Stumpy short LIPO (85mm) to suit off road buggies such as the TLR22 and similiar. These two will join up with the existing 5400mah 60C saddles to form this seasons selection. New in from VAMPIRE RACING this week we have the Type AB Plus BLOODLINE range of brushless SPEC motors. These are available in 10.5, 13.5, 17.5 and 21.5 versions along with a 9.5 to add to the current modified selection too. As well as the new motors we also have the new Ultra Flex sensor wires, available in four convenient lengths and also the range of 3 optional tuning rotors for the entire Type AB Plus series of motors too. As well as the motor related items we have also now recieved the 2012 range of LIPO stick pack batteries. The first is an almighty 6800mah 70C version, the second a 4400mah 50C short (85mm) version suitable for buggies like the TLR 22. (All motors and LIPO batteries are currently with the BRCA for the pending 2012 approval already)

The car is based on the previuos SX2 model but features an all new mid motor design, optimized weight balance, new transmission components, new body design and new wing mounts as the main changes. The car is available in four versions, PRO Carbon and S1 sport models in both kit and pre-assembled varieties. First stock is expected to arrive early Spring this year according to our sources within Schumacher.

Well today was the day that our UK VAT rose to 20 percent. Many of our suppliers have taken this change as an oppurtunity to release new price lists for the start of 2011 and whilst the odd product here or there will go down in price the huge and vast majority have risen (even if only by the small change in the VAT alone). However, just as we did back in late 2008 (when the VAT last changed), we have frozen our prices on all products held in stock that have RISEN (and of course are now starting to lower the few that have gone down) and we will only move our prices up to the new higher RRP levels as and when old stock is exhausted and we have to re-order. This will no doubt cause a few price changes to orders placed as old stock runs dry, but we are updatung the website twice daily from now on with changes as they happen so any item still shown at an older price should only be very brief. Customers are encouraged that if they wish to be totally certain of a price on a product to enquire first but in most cases what you see is what you will get and be charged in line with our terms and conditions. We hope that this action allows more customers to benefit from recieving goods at pre-VAT rise prices for as long as possible rather than just simply moving all of our stock straight up in price earlier today.

PLEASE NOTE, as of Monday 1st February 2010 we will be operating new opening hours here in the store. The new store hours are, Mondays - 10am to 5.30pm, Tuesdays - 10am to 5.30pm, Wednesdays - 10am to 5.30pm, Thursdays - 10am to 7pm, Fridays - 10am to 5.30pm, Saturdays - CLOSED, Sundays - CLOSED. With a huge rise in the mail order section of the business, we felt it was simpler to keep the hours the same for every evening (except Thursdays which remain as our late night) so no more half day closing midweek. However, with there being no post or parcel collections on a Saturday, it has been decided to close now on this day along with Sunday to allow us to be present at many race meetings, shows and events over the weekends to support our range of products and customers trackside which we could not do effectively when the store was open on the weekend previously...

After a 3 hour journey into work this morning for the few members of staff who made it in, we have successfully managed to process the mail and online orders that have been recieved overnight. However couriers have informed us that there will be no more collections planned for later today. With this in mind and the promise of more snow on its way, we have decided to close the store early and will hopefully be back to normal, or at least close to it, once again from tommorrow morning. Sorry for any trouble this may cause anyone trying to reach us in person or by telephone.

With all the talk of reccession, credit crunch and the general surrounding doom and gloom many people believe that Mondays small reduction on VAT will be a huge saviour. The truth of the matter is it is not. For many months now the exchange rate between the UK pound and many other strong foreign currencies such as the dollar, yen and euro has SIGNIFICANTLY fallen. This had led to the announcement this week (to coincide with the minimal VAT drop) by the vast majority of the UK R/C industries main suppliers of new, increased pricing for the large proportion of products that are available, this is indeed fueled by the fact that more products than not are imported into this country from overseas. However, owing to our HUGE levels of stocks (probably the largest in the UK) we will be able to hold ALL existing pricing (without rises) on all products, this will continue for as long as we physically can, items will only raise up to thier new price level once our current stock of that item is depleted and even then we will remain as competativley priced as ever. With us you are safe in the knowledge that you have more chance of finding the item(s) you want already in stock and at the older and lower prices for longer than any other outlet. As ever we are doing all that we can to make this Christmas as anjoyable and AFFORDABLE as ever..... (All prices on our website are now inclusive of VAT at the new lowered rate as of Saturday 29th December - midnight - any items that have FALLEN in price from our suppliers owing to the new rate are continually being reduced accordingly as and when we are being informed of them to ensure you the customer always get a fair deal)
